I’m tired of these sayings that “what will be will be” or “it
is what it is” as my father used to say, right up to the day he died. It’s bullshit. It’s being scared. Most of us
want life to be an unobtrusive river, meandering through the path of least
resistance. If an obstacle comes up, we’ll just go around it. When it’s time to
decide between “what will be will be” and taking control by becoming a raging
tsunami or a glacial iceberg charging against the Titanic, we decide on the prior
because it’s easier, less scary, and doesn't involve facing our inner demons
that have made us sick. We can heal ourselves. We are made of stardust. If the
universe within can’t heal us, nothing else ever will. The Titanic went down.
So too can the soul sucking mother-fucking thing that’s trying to kill us. So instead of "it is what it is" how about we try "Bullshit" or "The hell this shit is gonna win".
